Southern Real Estate, LLC. was founded by Thomas A. Dobson, a land surveyor by trade and local Tennessee resident since 1975. Being a surveyor, he saw vast potential in the land along the Cumberland Plateau. Yet, as a native resident of the region, maintaining the pristine natural beauty of the land was a paramount objective as well. By utilizing his professional experience and inherent dedication to the land, had a vision of beautiful cultivated properties offering a way of life that can rarely be found in our modern times. Thus Southern Real Estate was born.
Who we areThirty years since its inception, Southern Real Estate has grown into a company with 6 regional divisions along the East Coast, selling land within their local areas as well as the land that Thomas Dobson fell in love with many years ago. SRE has also grown into a family business with Josh Dobson, Thomas Dobson’s son, and Travis Shields, his son-in-law, maintaining the main elements of the company today. |
